October 23

Most kids are flying through their morning sentence writing. They enter class, get their stuff organized, put on shoes, and quickly sit down and start writing the morning sentence. When they finish, and as they wait for the others, there are some addition questions to try. We are working hard at making tens. 6+4, 9+1, 13+7, etc. Great job 2P!
Today we worked on the sound "ou". The kids had to cut out pictures that represent words that have that sound and then glue them in the appropriate picture. Cutting around the small picture, using their fine motor skills and word recognition and association!
In the afternoon, after music, we did a little more English. Spelling and reading. Next, I gave all the kids their pumpkin and we had to come up with as many descriptive words as we could! We shared them on the board and they wrote them in their scribbler.
We finished the day with some pattern making using the pumpkins and some writing/describing our pumpkins:)
