After morning recess we worked on the "ou" sound in French. Have your child read these to you:
mouton
bouton
rouge
jour
bijou
sous
tous
We also worked on the difference between ou (or) and où (where), again. Have your child copy and finish these using either ou or où:
______ sont les livres?
Je veux rouge _____ bleu.
La ville ____ je vis est Leduc.
Veux-tu deux ____ trois?
The kids started the afternoon with physical education where they did some circuit training:
We did some English language arts next. We read a sentence that uses all of the letters of the alphabet: The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog. We talked about consonants and vowels. We learned about the English spelling words for the week: fox, cut, hill, wind, put, all, moon, saw, tell, new. We will have a spelling test on these words Friday. We ended the day with some game time!
