First pic: kids coming out of music
2nd pic: Mrs. Plitt and Mme. Green (Music teacher)
Then kids working and snacking.

Had to drive my boy to his orienteering race after school yesterday so I was unable to blog. Yesterday was Mathieu's birthday and today is Callum's. We are gonna get fat from all the treats! Yumyum! I have no will power:(.
We did some learning about different wild animals today. We talked about our favourite wild animal and why we liked it. We drew a picture to go with a sentence M. Pask made us write. He erases our writing when it's messy and could be neater!!!!! He does it nicely though:)
After the grade 6 French Immersion class came to visit, as they will every Wednesday, and they helped us with our reading and they even helped us add another sentence. All in French!!
Some kids didn't finish their picture and so I asked them to bring the booklet home to do so.
Some of you forgot it was library today and so some students didn't get to take books out. I will do my best to remember to remind you but I will undoubtedly forgot from time to time.
Don't forget that Friday is Leduc Day and so we are travelling by foot to visit the grain elevator and then returning to do the Terry Fox Walk at 2PM. I know!!!! That IS a lot of walking! So please make sure your child has water and whatever else they might need to make the day go smoothly. Last time I had to bribe some students with freezies!
On another note, the Hilroy Studio Scrapbook Album wasn't on the grade 2 supply list. If you'd like me to put your child's work into one of these throughout the year, along with pictures, please send one to school with them. I did it for my students last year and I think it is one thing from the year to keep, unlike my kids, who bring home all their work that gets chucked into a rubbermaid bin to never be seen until who knows when!
I have sent home a package for capital and small alphabet letters. I told the kids they could do it for practice, or not. Some of them are have trouble with number and letter reversal. This practice will help them fix that. If their printing is neat and they really don't need the practice, no worries.
I am off to cross-country. Have a nice evening!

I'm back! I got the flu and it hurt me all over. I am a man and so it probably wasn't real pain. We men don't have that extra chromosome that makes us mentally tough!
While I was gone, the kids continued to write, do math, listen and comprehend. The world didn't fall apart!
Today was a nice day. The kids did do their dictée at the end of the day. Mon/Ton/Son/Non/Sont/Long were the words. I let them know when a word was incorrect. Most got them all correct. 2 mistakes was the most anyone made.
We worked on patterning too. The kids were given different objects and were asked to make patterns for me to extend. I also started patterns for them to extend. We will continue to do more hands on stuff like this.
I will also try and get more camera happy.
I sent home some info in the kids' agenda. A letter about Terry Fox Walk on Friday at 2PM and for the earlier part of that day, a visit to the Leduc grain elevators.
The kids copied the words for this week in the agenda: le roi/toi/moi/soi/froid/trois. We will try to get this done on Thursday as Friday will be too busy.
I went to the Amazing Corn Maze on Saturday with my boys. They had fun. If you haven't been, the weather is great, take a trip.
Talk to you soon.
