January 11

Hello all! The kids survived the first week back after the Christmas holidays. Well, most did. Two are away sick and I imagine others will be too. The flu season is officially upon us. I am going to purchase disinfecting wipes for the desks for the kids and I am going have the kids clean their eating area before eating. They could also bring in their own hand sanitizer to stay virus/germ/bacteria - free as possible.

The kids wrote their French dictee today and almost everyone got 100%! We didn't get to the English spelling test; we will do that on Monday.

I believe the weather is supposed to improve next week. If it does, I would like to do some skating afternoons on the frozen basketball courts beside the school. If your child doesn't have skates, we have a few pairs at the school he/she could borrow. A hockey, not bike, helmet is also a must. The school has some of those too but sizing is iffy. If you could borrow from a neighbour or a friend, that would save a lot of time and hassle.

I hope you have a nice weekend.

If you could ensure that your child finishes AND returns to school the sheets I had them put into their agenda. I only asked them to complete page 19. The list words are going to be tested on Friday along with our French dictée words.
