We started the day practicing our numbers. Being able to recognize and indicate numbers I call out is taking a bit of time. If possible, have your child practice these at home. If you need correct pronunciation of the numbers: http://french.about.com/library/begin/bl-numbers.htm is one site I found.
We moved on to social studies after recess. Getting the kids to be able to comprehend sizes/distances is a tough one. We did this to try and grasp the difference in sizes of geographic concepts:


We are talking about places in Canada: Meteghan in Nova Scotia, Saskatoon and Iqualuit. The kids then did an activity about themselves:

We finished the day off with French LA. I introduced sound of the week ''ou''.  The dictée on Friday will cover this sound. We will practice it so again, do not fret!
